- To Win: #4 Steel Trap ($2.15 at time of publish) – BET NOW
Short price offered on the favourite Steel Trap but think she’s deserving of his top spot in the markets and can salute. The Dan Clarken & Oopy MacGillivray trained King’s Legacy filly has her fifth start and chases win number two. She’s second-up and was placed in Listed grade at her latest second-up run here at Morphettville. Showed plenty fresh on April 26 in the Group 3 Breeders Stakes at the track over 1200m under three lengths off the winner Legacy Bound when back from a two-month break to race just off the lead and keep on at a consistent tempo. Has Jamie Melham continuing associations. Right track and trip in an open field. She’ll be on pace and take some beating.
