We’re offering the best odds on the widest range of markets for all five A-League games in Week 7!
Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners
In what has every likelihood of figuring as one of the better matches in Week 7 of the A-League, the red-hot Melbourne Victory host the Central Coast Mariners on Thursday night. The Victory became the first team to hold all three major trophies in Australian football when taking out the FFA Cup final a fortnight ago and enter this match off the back of a crushing 4-2 defeat of fierce rivals Sydney FC away on Saturday. Central Coast is probably yet to reach peak form this season but are undefeated in their last two matches and are clearly building in confidence at home and away. the Mariners are far-better than their current odds suggest, but the Victory again look like serious title contenders and realistically at home, led by a rampant Besart Berisha, they should win.
Besart Berisha scores and Melbourne Victory wins: $2.25
Fabio Ferreira scores and Central Coast wins: $26
Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne City
Brisbane Roar stamped themselves as a serious prospect when beating Perth Glory to take an outright lead on the A-League table and will be brimming with confidence to continue their stranglehold on the race to the premiership when hosting Melbourne City on Friday night. City arguably have one of the league’s best rosters, and while producing a number of good performances against credible opposition, are yet to reach full potential. Having been thoroughly beaten 3-0 by the Wanderers at home in Week 6, John Van’t Schip’s men will have to produce a sharp turn in form if to win this weekend but probably face too great a task in the Roar.

Harry Novillo scores and Melbourne City wins: $11
Western Sydney Wanderers vs Wellington Phoenix
The Wanderers have slowly built to the task this year and enter Week 7 off the back of a massive 3-0 win away over Melbourne City. Tony Popovic grilled his team after losing to fierce rivals Sydney FC late in Week 3 and they have clearly responded; winning each of their three most recent fixtures. Wellington Phoenix for the most part have been dreadful this year, but posted their second win of the season with a crushing 4-2 defeat of the similarly-placed Adelaide United last weekend and are sure to have taken plenty of condition from the performance. Western Sydney play in front of the league’s most parochial crowd and offer great value to continue their winning ways past the Phoenix this weekend.
Federico Piovaccari scores and Western Sydney wins: $4
Roy Krishna scores and Wellington wins: $10
Perth Glory vs Sydney FC
Perth’s disappointing season continued in Brisbane last weekend, and remain second from bottom in overall standings with just one win in six starts so far. The Glory have had a number of difficult away trips so far, but their form at home has not been a whole lot more convincing and are charged with overcoming Sydney FC in Week 7, who will be keen to return to winning form after dropping all the points to the Victory in last week’s ‘Big Blue’. Sydney were top of the league until last weekend’s loss but have clearly missed the goal scoring potency of Mark Janko. On form Sydney should win, but Perth are capable of big things at home on their day and a draw represents terrific value at a current quote of $3.60.
Guyon Fernandez scores and Perth wins: $7
Shane Smeltz scores and Sydney wins: $4.50
Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets
Week 7 of the A-League will draw to a close when the lowly Adelaide United welcome the Newcastle Jets to Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Adelaide have been the big disappointment through the first six weeks of competition and remain locked to the bottom of the ladder having yet to post a single win. With close to nothing expected of them at the beginning of the season, Newcastle have undoubtedly been the league’s surprise packets; delivering several key opponents defeat on their way to tied third overall. Adelaide are surely due a win but do not deserve to be such resounding favourites and both the draw and Newcastle win at current odds represent great value.
