Daily Racing Tips – Friday 9th December
Doomben - Race 3 4.15pm AEDT
No. 9 Says Me
Says Me produced some closing sectionals to win at the Sunshine Coast last start and before that she was only narrowly denied at Doomben. The form around her this preparation has been strong and this is far from the strongest class three event. She is a great price to take out what is an extremely open affair.
Doomben - Race 4 4.52pm AEDT
No. 12 St Hilary
St Hilary made her racing debut with a solid effort at the Sunshine Coast and she had no luck in running when second at Ipswich last start. A repeat of those performances would likely be more than enough to win this maiden and there should be no excuses from the lovely alley. This is her chance to break her duck.
Canterbury - Race 2 6.45pm AEDT
No. 2 Northwest Passage
Northwest Passage made his racing debut with a dominant win at Hawkesbury and he ran good time in doing so. He makes his own luck right up on the speed and Adam Hyeronimus is an excellent judge of pace. There is no doubt that he is a horse with a great deal of upside and Gai Waterhouse is one trainer that is capable of pulling off the big jump-up in trip.
Canterbury - Race 4 7.45pm AEDT
No. 8 Pleased
Pleased is another horse that heads to Canterbury off the back of a high-quality debut win at Hawkesbury. He showed an impressive turn-of-foot to put away his rivals in the final stages last start and the wide barrier draw could actually prove to be an advantage. He is a horse with x-factor and he can beat a number of these horses that look to have found their level.
