Daily Racing Tips – Saturday 17th December
Royal Randwick - Race 3 1.55pm AEDT
No. 6 Serena Bay
Sebring Express is clearly a talented horse, but Serena Bay is well over the odds at her current price. She only narrowly got the job done in the Golden Gift, but it was a better win than it looked on paper and she ran good time. She will make her own luck right on the speed with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle and she still has the scope to improve.
Royal Randwick - Race 6 3.40pm AEDT
No. 11 Super Too
Super Too has been racing well without winning in much better company than this. She was only denied by the talented Spright in the Red Roses on Crown Oaks Day at Flemington and there is no horses with that ability in this field. She maps to get a dream run into this race with Tim Clarke in the saddle and she will be very tough to beat.
Royal Randwick - Race 7 4.20pm AEDT
No. 7 Fabrizio
Fabrizio is a Group 1 winner in the making and he will be very tough to beat in the Villiers Stakes. He was given no chance whatsoever in the Epsom Handicap, but he bounced back to record dominant victory at Royal Randwick and then Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day. He will take up the running and will be extremely tough to run down.
Doomben - Race 8 5.48pm AEDT
No. 1 Casual Choice
Casual Choice is now a seven-year-old, but there is no reason why he can’t return to the races with a win in the Bribie Handicap. He finished his autumn campaign with three straight victories in similar races to this, he has an excellent record at this distance and Doomben is his favourite track. He ticks plenty of boxes.
