Royal Randwick - Race 4 1:55pm AEDT

No. 3 Perfect Dare

Perfect Dare won his Country Championship Qualifier at Grafton in dominant fashion and with Hugh Bowman in the saddle he will prove very tough to beat. He has legitimate City form on his record and if he performs at anywhere near his best he has a clear class edge over the rest of this field. Great value at the current price.

Royal Randwick - Race 5 2.30pm AEDT

No. 6 Sweet Sherry

Sweet Sherry could hardly have been more impressive when she returned in the Moomba Plate and she put a clear gap on her rivals on her side of the Flemington straight. She is an underrated filly with plenty of speed and she is well over the odds in what is a far more open race than the current betting market suggests.

Royal Randwick - Race 6 3:10pm AEDT

No. 14 Frolic

Frolic was off the bit a long way from home in the Golden Slipper and she kept finding the line to finish a clear second behind She Will Reign. She has always looked as though she would relish the step-up to 1400 metres and the wide barrier draw will be an advantage at this stage of the afternoon.

Royal Randwick - Race 7 3.50pm AEDT

No. 2 Gingernuts

Gingernuts is a clear favourite in the 2017 Australian Derby and he looks as though he will be extremely tough to beat. He won the New Zealand Derby in impressive fashion before he was far too good for his rivals in the Rosehill Guineas. He can improve back-up to 2400 metres and he looks fairly bombproof in this race.
