Geelong - Race 1 1:30pm AEST
Missile Strike was very well-supported first-up and he raced fairly without getting the job done. He is sure to have taken plenty of improvement out of that run and he really does look to have a sizeable class edge over the rest of this field. Jamie Mott is the perfect jockey for this sort of horse and should be able to get him home.
Ipswich - Race 3 1.50pm AEST
Roman Senator has improved in each of his race starts this preparation and he should be at peak fitness for his third-up tilt this afternoon. This really is not the strongest race and he is one of the only horses in this field with any real upside whatsoever. He is well over the odds at his current price.
Ipswich - Race 5 3:05pm AEST
Argyll Bay has produced some of the best performances of his career over the 800 metres dash at Ipswich and this is his chance to return to winning form. He has form around some strong horses this preparation and he has the speed to take up the running in the early stages of the race. He will be tough to run down late.
Ipswich - Race 8 4.55pm AEST
Miss Chattering has not been seen at the races since September last year, but she looks to have a clear class edge over her rivals this afternoon. Her recent barrier trial at the Sunshine Coast suggests that she is forward enough to make a winning return to the races and if she brings a semblance of her best form to the races will be extremely tough to beat.
