Doomben - Race 2 12:42pm AEST

No. 1 Calligrapher

Calligrapher has joined the stable of Les Kelly after he started his racing career under the care of Team Snowden. He won a solid race at Gosford in his second race start and his barrier trial victory at the Gold Coast suggests that he is ready for a return to the races. This is an open race and he is well and truly over the odds at his current price.

Doomben - Race 3 1.17pm AEST

No. 1 Candika

Candika got too far back last Saturday at Doomben, but she did savage the line late in a performance that suggests she is crying out for the step-up to the mile. She doesn’t have to get as far back from the inside barrier over a mile and if she is anywhere near the leaders on the turn she will be tough to hold-out late.

Doomben - Race 5 2.28pm AEST

No. 1 Into The Red

Into The Red generally produces the best performance of his campaign fresh and he is a horse that is capable of a very high-rating performance on his day. He didn’t really come up last preparation, but I am happy to give him another chance and if he performs at anywhere near his best the $7.00 on offer will be a steal.

Doomben - Race 8 4.27pm AEST

No. 13 Kuznetsova

Kuznetsova is a consistent mare that is still on the way up. She absolutely savaged the line to get the job done at Toowoomba last start and she has been thereabouts in some fairly strong form races throughout this campaign. She maps to get an excellent run into the race with Jeff Lloyd in the saddle.
