Flemington - Race 4 2:50pm AEST

No. 1 Speed Street

Speed Street makes the jump-up to 1400 metres after recording a tough victory in the VOBIS Gold Rush at Bendigo. I normally don’t like horses making this leap up in distance, but Gai Waterhouse has proven time and time again that she can get horses ready for this. Speed Street looks set to take up the running and will be tough to run down late at a nice price.

Flemington - Race 5 3.25pm AEST

No. 1 Single Note

Single Note is a progressive mare that has recorded four wins on the trot in impressive fashion. She is a horse that puts herself right on the speed in the early stages and she has the early speed required to cross this field. Beau Mertens is an excellent judge of pace and the Not A Single Doubt mare really does stand out at her current price.

Royal Randwick - Race 3 1.50pm AEST

No. 2 Emperor’s Way

Emperor’s Way raced well without winning during his maiden racing campaign and has form around some quality horses. He finds himself in a winnable race this afternoon and it would not surprise if Team Snowden had him fairly forward for his return to racing. He maps to settle right on the speed and he is great value at his current price.

Royal Randwick - Race 4 2.30pm AEST

No. 4 Stampede

Stampede does not run a bad race and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form. He had no luck in running whatsoever last start and he was still only narrowly denied. That tough run should have him ready for the step-up to 2000 metres and he is another horse that makes his own luck right on the speed.
