Daily Racing Tips – Saturday 10th June
Doomben - Race 2 11:55pm AEST
No. 11 Miss Gunpowder
Miss Gunpowder has been racing well since she was transferred to the Lindsay Park stable and the Hinkler Handicap looks like a lovely race for her. She was only narrowly denied by talented stablemate Fuhryk in the Proud Miss Stakes and a repeat of that run would make her tough to beat this afternoon.
Doomben - Race 3 12.30pm AEST
No. 1 Religify
Religify clearly resented the Eagle Farm track in the Lord Mayor’s Cup and I am happy to put the pen through that performance. Before that he was excellent in the Prime Minister’s Cup and this is another excellent race for him. Doomben is an ideal track for the tough galloper and he makes his own luck right on the speed.
Doomben - Race 6 2.20pm AEST
No. 13 Melody Belle
Melody Belle absolutely bolted in last start in the BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes and she is clearly the horse to beat in the JJ Atkins. There is no doubt that she enjoyed the track at Eagle Farm better than her rivals, but she still ran very slick time and her form in New Zealand shows that she is not just a wet-tracker.
Doomben - Race 9 4.20pm AEST
No. 2 Rudy
Rudy has been in excellent form this preparation. It has been a long time between wins for Rudy, but he was very good in the PJ O’Shea Stakes last weekend and probably wins with a more aggressive ride. He has been placed in three of his past four starts and he is a great each-way bet at his current quote.
