Race 1 - 12:04pm

Majestic Son Trot NSW Four & Five-Year-Old Final (1609m)

Red Hot Tooth is a clear favourite and she is deserving of that position, but the question is whether you can get her as short as the $1.70 currently on offer. She was beaten as favourite last start, but she did not have a great deal of luck in running. She does look to have a class edge over the rest of this field and she can return to winning form.

Race 2 - 12:42pm

Rising Stars Heat (1609m)

This is an open race and you can make a case for the majority of the field. I am keen to have a very small gamble on Dark Energy at big odds. He does not win out of turn, but he is capable of a spike performance on his day and the $34 currently available is well and truly over the odds.

Race 3 - 1:22pm

Breeders Challenge Four-Year-Old (1609m)

Heavens Trend is a dominant favourite following her impressive return to racing at Menangle last start. There is no way that you can get her anywhere near as short as $1.30, but I am not willing to bet against her. I am more than happy to stay out of that race.

Race 4 - 2:02pm

Breeders Challenge Three-Year-Old (1609m)

Don’t Think Twice continued her winning streak with a dominant victory over this track and distance last start and she really should be able to continue her winning ways this afternoon. She makes her own luck right on the speed and she really has developed into a bombproof filly. There is genuine value in the $1.60.

Race 5 - 2:42pm

Breeders Challenge Two-Year-Old Fillies (1609m)

Molly Kelly has recorded five wins from her six race starts and is a clear favourite, but I am keen to take her on. Jilliby Galwaygirl was only narrowly denied by Molly Kelly in their only previous meeting and it is fair to say that she has improved since. She is a great bet to turn-the-tables at the $4 that is currently available.

Race 6 - 3:16pm

Breeders Challenge Two Year-Old Colts & Geldings (1609m)

Divine State failed to fire last start at Menagle as a $1.40, but he clearly has a fair amount of ability and I am willing to give him another chance this afternoon. He seems to produce his best form when he is able to take up the running and control the race and he should get the opportunity to do just that this afternoon. Sicario is the obvious danger, but I do think that Divine State has more upside.

Breeders Challenge Four-Year-Old Entires (1609m)

Real Stride obviously has an excellent record and he is deserving of his position as favourite, but I am keen to take him on with both Power Of Red and Rockn Brushgrove. Power Of Red won impressively last weekend and still has the scope to improve. Rockn Brushgrove does not win out of turn, but he is never far away in these sort of races and he is a solid each-way bet at the current price.

Race 8 - 4:27pm

Group 1 Len Smith Mile (1609m)

The Len Smith Mile looks set to be a truly epic battle between Hectorjayjay and Lennytheshark. I have a great deal of respect for Hectorjayjay, but I can’t possibly go past Lennytheshark. Lennytheshark was beaten in the Golden Mile last start, but you can’t keep a champion down and if he is able to reproduce the level of performance that he showed to win the Miracle Mile there is no horse in this field that can match him.

Race 9 - 4:57pm

Breeders Challenge Three-Year-Old Colts And Geldings (1609m)

It is all about Vincent in the Breeders Challenge Three-Year-Old Colts And Geldings and he really should be able to add another Group 1 victory to his impressive resume. I can’t dive it at the current price of $1.40, but it is tough to see him getting beaten.

Race 10 - 5:27pm

Don Clough OAM Stakes (1609m)

This is one of the most even races of the afternoon and you can make a case for a number of the runners in this field. It has been a while between wins for Lord Zin Zan, but he is a talented horse that rarely runs a bad race. He will need a touch of luck in running, but this is his opportunity to return to winning form.
