Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 28th June

Doomben - Race 5 2.34pm AEST

No. 3 Gracida

Gracida has joined the stable of David Vandyke after previously being trained by Tony Gollan. His recent barrier trial at the Sunshine Coast was excellent and he is a horse that always produces his best form fresh. He has the speed to cross this field from the wide barrier draw and will be tough to run down late.

Doomben - Race 6 3:12pm AEST

No. 1 Sneaky Glance

Sneaky Glance has gone to another level this preparation and he comes into this race on the back of an impressive win in the Grafton Guineas Prelude. He still has the scope to improve on that performance and if he does that he will go to a level that can’t be matched by any other horse in this field. The step-up in trip should suit.

Doomben - Race 7 3.47pm AEST

No. 2 Fit For Purpose

Fit For Purpose was beaten as a short-priced favourite last start, but he did have genuine excuses and he is worthy of another chance this afternoon. This really is not the strongest field and if he brings his A-game to the races he does look to have a clear edge over his rivals. He is another horse that makes his own luck with Jeff Lloyd in the saddle.

Doomben - Race 8 4.27pm AEST

No. 3 Tambo’s Heart

Tambo’s Heart is racing in career best form and he is great value to record another race win this afternoon. There was plenty to like about the way that he won at Ipswich first-up and he made up ground late last start. He doesn’t have to get as far back from barrier two this afternoon and he should be in the finish.
