Doomben - Race 3 1:43pm AEST

No. 1 Tarzan

Tarzan is set to return to the races following a nice trial at the Sunshine Coast and he has recorded two wins from his three first-up starts. He is a genuine short-course specialist that loves 1000 metres and he has the speed to take up a position right on the speed in the early stages of the race. He can make a winning return to the races.

Doomben - Race 4 2.18pm AEST

No. 6 Plucky Girl

It has been a while between wins for Plucky Girl, but she gets the opportunity to return to winning form this afternoon. The form around her this preparation has been strong and she was only narrowly denied at the Gold Coast last start. The fact that Jeff Lloyd jumps back into the saddle is a positive and she maps to make her own luck right on the speed.

Canterbury - Race 3 2.35pm AEST

No. 5 Up ‘N’ Rolling

Up ‘N’ Rolling was the subject of plenty of controversy in the Autumn due to a less than stellar ride from Glyn Schofield, but that clouded the fact that he is clearly a horse with plenty of ability. The fact that Chris Waller has set him for a races over 1550 metres first-up indicates that he is fairly forward and if he is able to replicate his previous form he is clearly the horse to beat.

Canterbury - Race 4 3.10pm AEST

No. 12 Savapinski

Savapinski made her racing debut with an ultra-impressive win at Newcastle in March and the form coming out of that race has been strong. She hasn’t been since at the races since, but she did win a barrier trial at Royal Randwick in impressive fashion and does look like a progressive type. Adam Hyeronimus should take her straight to the front and she will be tough to catch late.
