Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 4th October
Canterbury - Race 3 2:35pm AEDT
No. 2 Solar Patch
Solar Patch gets his chance to return to winning form after going close in his past three race starts. He has form around a number of talented horses and this is probably the weakest race he has contested since his maiden win. He maps to get a lovely trail into this race with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle.
Canterbury - Race 4 3.10pm AEDT
No. 4 History Repeats
The well-bred History Repeats appreciated the big step-up in trip to win at Hawkesbury last start and she can make it two wins on the trot this afternoon. She makes her own luck in front and there are few jockeys that are better judges of front-runners than Kerrin McEvoy. She will be much fitter after her last start win and will be very tough to get past late.
Canterbury - Race 7 4.55pm AEDT
No. 5 White Moss
White Moss has recorded three wins from six race starts and she finished her Autumn campaign with a couple of high rating performances, while she won a recent barrier trial at Warwick Farm in impressive fashion. She has the tactical speed to press across and take up the running from the wide barrier draw and if she does that she will be very tough to beat.
Doomben - Race 3 2.53pm AEDT
No. 1 I’ve Gotta Nel
I’ve Gotta Nel is a horse that has a great deal of speed and on exposed form he does have a clear class edge over this field. He is a short-course specialist that should have no issues taking up the running and he has previously performed well on a wet track. The Jeff Lloyd and Toby Edmonds combination continues to fire.
