The Valley - Race 2 7.00pm AEDT

No. 2 Sly Romance

Sly Romance was never able to get into the race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day and this is a genuine drop in class. He has raced well over this track and distance in the past and there is no fitter horse in this field. Noel Callow will turn this into a genuine staying test and Sly Romance is the horse to beat in that situation.

The Valley - Race 4 8:00pm AEDT

No.8 Sprightly Lass

Sprightly Lass has recorded two wins from as many starts in New South Wales and she can maintain her unbeaten record this evening. She has shown a great deal of early speed in both of her race starts and she really does look well-suited to the Valley. She can cross this field to take up the running and will be tough to catch late.

The Valley - Race 5 8:30pm AEDT

No. 3 Runson

No horse represents better value at The Valley tonight than Runson. He has been freshened-up since he failed to fire in The Heath and he has recorded two wins from three first-up starts. All of his best form has been over the short-course sprints and he chased home Sirbible in very fast time in this race last year. He is a great each-way bet at the current price.

The Valley - Race 7 9.30pm AEDT

No. 6 Serenade The Stars

Serenade The Stars made his Australian racing debut with a solid win at Bendigo and he should take plenty of improvement from that run. He beat home Knowable who finished a close second in a race at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day. The step-up in trip will suit and he maps to get a dream run into the race with Damien Oliver in the saddle.
