It was another tough week for punters as outsiders took out the majority of the big races, but one of our punters has had a day to remember at Rosehill Gardens.
He was able to score 75 percent of the Rosehill Gardens quaddie and it was the way that he went about securing this juicy payout that was particularly impressive.
The betting market for the opening leg of the quaddie was dominated by Zumbelina and Just Dreaming, but our punter elected to take the field in the sixth race of the afternoon and he was hoping that an outsider would get the job done.
He got his wish!
Chris Waller-trained Invinzabeel bounced back to his best form at the juicy odds of $26 to claim a narrow victory over Just Dreaming and get our punter off to a flying start!
The second leg of the quaddie was a very open race, but this confident punter took the skinny route in this leg and singled out Matthew Dunn-trained Miss Dubois.
Miss Dubois had recorded only one win from her past seven starts, but the seven-year-old showed that she still has the zest for racing with a pleasing victory at a quote of $4.50.
Our punter went wide once again in the third leg of his quaddie and he was rewarded in a big way.
The unbeaten Bon Amis started the Goldners Horse Transport Handicap as a clear favourite and most punters were left reeling when the Bon Hofga gelding was beaten by Don’t Tease Me – but not our punter as he was now only a single leg away from a big quaddie win.
It all came down to the final leg and this shrewd punter only had John Thompson-trained Dreamforce running for him.
Dreamforce had not recorded a race win since October last year, but he was always in control of this race.
Brenton Avdulla took Dreamforce straight to the front and was able to dictate the tempo of the race before Dreamforce raced away when he was asked for an extra effort at the top of the straight.
Dreamforce saluted at the odds of $3.70 and he ensured that our punter was able to turn $99 into $19,126.50!
