Pakenham - Race 4 7:30pm AEDT

No. 7 Esplanade

Esplanade has improved each time that he has been seen at the races this preparation and he finds himself in a fairly weak race this evening. Craig Williams should be able to settle him right on the speed from the nice barrier draw and the step-up to 1400 metres suits. This is his chance to claim a maiden race win.

Pakenham - Race 6 8:30pm AEDT

No. 6 Rellson

Rellson finished a credible sixth behind Levendi in the Carbine Club Stakes on Victoria Derby Day and a repeat of that performance gives him a clear class edge over the rest of this field. He has been included in the nominations for the Australian Guineas and he needs to win this race to have any chance of ending up in that level of competition.

Pakenham - Race 7 9.00pm AEDT

No. 5 La Belle Jude

This is a very weak race and La Belle Jude may never have a better chance to return to winning form. She has finished second at her past two starts and it is fair to say that she has been unlucky in both. She maps to get a lovely trail into this race and really should prove too strong for this field.

Pakenham - Race 8 9.30pm AEDT

No. 9 The Regiment

The Regiment was outpaced first-up at Ladbrokes Park behind the talented Nature Strip, but he produced one of the best performances of his racing career to date to finish a close second last start at Ballarat. He should now be at peak fitness and this is his chance to return to winning form.
