The Valley - Race 1 7:30pm AEDT
Han Xin has form around Royal Randwick Guineas favourite D’argento and his two recent barrier trials ahead of his return to racing have been excellent. Beau Mertens will take him straight to the front in the early stages of this race and I think it could be a night for the leaders at The Valley with the rail out five metres.
The Valley - Race 3 7:30pm AEDT
Freeze Over is now with Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra and they have found a nice race to kick him off in this preparation. She has only had the three race starts, but she has shown plenty of ability and in her most recent run she finished second behind the extremely talented Booker. That form is more than good enough to win this race.
The Valley - Race 7 9.30pm AEDT
Aurora Rose has been extremely consistent this campaign and she is a very fit mare. She showed her toughness when she led from start to finish to win at Pakenham last start and there is no reason that she can’t do the same this evening. You won’t see much better each-way bets than Aurora Rose this evening.
The Valley - Race 8 10.00pm AEDT
Avanti Rose heads to The Valley on the back of two excellent wins and she is a horse that clearly relishes the 1000 metres. She has recorded three wins and as many placings from her six race starts over that trip and she is a horse that still does have upside. She will get a lovely trail just behind the leader and should prove too good late.
