Caulfield - Race 2 1:05pm AEDT

No. 9 Pure Elation

Pure Elation was only run down late in the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Fillies Preview and she should take plenty of benefit from that run. She has the early speed required to cross the field from the wide barrier draw and if she finds the lead she will prove tough to run down late at what is a juicy price.

Caulfield - Race 3 1:40pm AEDT

No. 2 Ollivander

The step back-up to 1100 metres for the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Prelude is ideal for Ollivander and he can return to winning form. I love the way that he found the line in the Blue Diamond Fillies Preview and he maps to get a lovely run just behind the speed in this race. He can stamp himself as a genuine Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes contender.

Caulfield - Race 4 2.15pm AEDT

No. 1 Gailo Chop

Gailo Chop is the class horse in the Ladbrokes Carlyon Cup and he is clearly the horse to beat. He won the Penny Edition Stakes first-up in the Spring before he ran really well in the Makybe Diva Stakes over a mile, which had a much stronger field than this race. He should prove too strong for this field.

Caulfield - Race 8 4.45pm AEDT

No. 1 Hartnell

Hartnell didn’t thrive at the end of his 2017 Spring Racing Carnival campaign, but his fresh form recently has been nothing short of outstanding. He beat a similar field than this to win the P.B. Lawrence Stakes first-up in the Spring and he should be in front of his main danger Tosen Stardom in the run.
