Wyong - Race 5 2.35pm AEST
I Am Awesome has recorded three wins from her past four starts and she is a mare with plenty of upside. She showed a lovely turn-of-foot to finish over the top of her rivals late at Muswellbrook first-up and she should take plenty of improvement from that effort. She maps to get a lovely run in transit with Brenton Avdulla in the saddle.
Wyong - Race 6 3:10pm AEST
Play failed to fire at Newcastle last start and she is a much better filly than that performance suggests. The sharp step-up in trip clearly wasn’t ideal and the drop back to 1600 metres suits – this is a tactic that trainer Chris Waller has used with plenty of success in the past. She should get the run of the race with Blake Shinn in the saddle.
Wyong - Race 7 3.50pm AEST
Your Witness returned to the races with a narrow defeat at Newcastle and he is a gelding that usually takes a step forward second-up. The map does look a little bit awkward and he needs some luck in running, but this is a fairly weak race and he does look well-placed to return to winning form.
Americana Magic - Race 8 4.25pm AEST
Americana Magic is well and truly over the odds at his current price of $11 and he is an outstanding each-way bet in what is an open race. He won first-up last preparation and he wasn’t disgraced when fifth behind Bella Martini in the Gosford Guineas. He has the benefit of Brenton Avdulla in the saddle and can sprint an upset.
