Doomben - Race 1 11:10pm AEST
Havasay wasn’t disgraced in the Victory Stakes and he showed that up with a classy win in the Swire Shipping Plate at Doomben last start. This race is no tougher and he maps to get a lovely transit from barrier three. He looks a good bet to make it two wins in a row.
Doomben - Race 3 12.21pm AEST
The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal and she will need some luck in running, but The Wildflower is well and truly over the odds in what is an open edition of the Premier’s Cup. She was placed at Group 1 level behind Lizzie L’amour two starts ago and she comes into this race on the back of a close third in the Auckland Cup. She is a great each-way bet.
Doomben - Race 5 1.40pm AEST
Lean Mean Machine has savaged the line in his past two race starts and he is clearly a horse that has plenty of talent. It was a horror watch for punters that backed him in the Ken Russell Memorial Classic and he has drawn wide again, but the step-up in trip to 1350 metres does look ideal and he is a horse with plenty of upside.
Doomben - Race 6 2.20pm AEST
The Glenlogan Park Stakes is an open race and Foxplay is big overs at her current price of $13. She has been inconsistent this preparation, but this is the weakest race that she has contested in some time and if she brings her best form to the races she has a clear edge over the rest of this field.
