Race 1 - 11:47am
A tricky race to start the day at Doomben with no real stand out to get the punters going. The Chris Waller trained English import Mornington is yet to win on Australian soil but won’t get a better chance than this week. The five year old is fitter for recent racing and will have no trouble handling the 2200m. San Telmo and High Degree are dropping back in class after running in the 2400m Caloundra Cup and Denbern has each way claims.

Healy Stakes over the same course and distance. Niccanova will strip fitter for his first up sixth in the Rockhampton Newmarket.
