Daily Racing Tips – Saturday 21st July
Randwick - Race 5 2.00pm AEST
No. 8 You Make Me Smile
You Make Me Smile was a winner at this track and distance two back when he beat home the smart Lisdoonvarna at big odds. He then stepped back in distance and grade to only be beaten just over a length by Envy Of All. Jason Coyle’s horses seem to go unnoticed by the punters time and time again and this is no exception as you are still getting 20-1.
Randwick - Race 7 3.15pm AEST
No. 8 Tactical Advantage
This looks a a perfect first-up assignment for Tactical Advantage. He has been acquired by Australian Bloodstock who have an excellent record for buying horses on the rise. This horse had corrective surgery for an epiglottic entrapment so he should be able to breathe a lot better. He has been very consistent and he gets in well at the weights today. Right in it.
Doomben - Race 6 2:47pm AEST
No. 10 Natch
If there is one thing that Natch brings to the table it’s consistency. He has been unplaced in only two of his 13 race starts and he has now strung together two in a row. This included a dominant 3.5 length win at Ipswich last start over the 1350m. The four year old has started at the odds of $3.40 or less in 11 of his 13 starts and today should be no different. after being well supported early in betting.
Flemington - Race 8 4.15pm AEST
No. 6 Sixties Groove
Sixties Groove was dominant last start at the same track and distance as he competes in today. He’s drawn well in gate 6 and Damian Lane jumps on which is an added advantage. This seems another astute overseas purchase by Australian Bloodstock if the five year old can hold his form then he should be tough to beat again today.
