Geelong - Race 3 2:30pm AEST
Paroodus made his racing debut with a narrow defeat at Geelong and he was gallant in defeat. He showed a fair amount of early speed in that contest and he should have come on fairly well from that win. Jye McNeil will take him straight to the front and he will be tough to run down late.
Geelong - Race 7 4.30pm AEST
Booradley is a much better horse than his first-up effort behind A Good Yarn suggests. His mind was clearly not on the job and you can put a line through that effort. If he can reproduce anything like his best form than he has a clear class edge over the rest of this field and I am willing to give him another opportunity.
Ipswich - Race 2 1.42pm AEST
Red Colour had excuses when she was beaten at Doomben last start and before that she recorded impressive wins at Toowoomba and Ballina. She doesn’t have a great record at Ipswich, but she is racing in career best form and she does meet a fairly weak field this afternoon. The fact that Brad Stewart is in the saddle is another advantage.
Ipswich - Race 7 4.50pm AEST
Noble Billy led from start to finish to record a tough win at Toowoomba last start and the wide barrier draw gives him the chance to roll forward once again. This is a more open race than the current betting market suggests and Noble Billy is an outstanding each-way bet at his current price of $21.
