Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 19th September
Warwick Farm - Race 2 1.25pm AEST
No. 1 Ranier
Ranier had no luck in running when he was beaten last start at Royal Randwick and before that he finished within a length and a half of subsequent Tea Rose Stakes winner Miss Fabulass. He has drawn wide again, but he does have the benefit of James McDonald in the saddle and if he can maintain his form he will prove tough to beat.
Warwick Farm - Race 7 4.20pm AEST
No. 12 Palmateer
Palmateer drops back in class after she wasn’t disgraced behind All Too Soon at Rosehill Gardens last start. This is a more suitable race for her and she generally does produce her best form over a mile. She will get back from the wide barrier draw, but that is her usual pattern and she has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of her rivals.
Doomben - Race 3 2.18pm AEST
No. 2 Diamonds Are
Diamonds Are recorded three wins on the trot during his Summer campaign before he had genuine excuses when he was beaten in his last start ahead of a spell. It has been a while between race wins and his barrier trials have only been fair, but he is the class horse in the field and if he brings his best form to the races this afternoon he will be tough to beat.
Doomben - Race 7 4:38pm AEST
No. 11 Wisdom Tree
Trainer Kris Lees has sent Wisdom Tree to Brisbane after she finished a credible third behind the promising Spring Charlie at Newcastle last start. Lees has an excellent record when he sends horses to Queensland and Wisdom Tree does look to have an edge over the rest of this field. The fact that Jeff Lloyd is in the saddle is another big advantage.
