Lismore - Race 2 1.20pm AEST
The Big Eater had no luck in running last start at Ipswich and was still able to find the line nicely. This is a fairly weak contest and a repeat of his two race starts this campaign would have him right in the mix. I am happy to oppose the favourite Global Choice and the $6.50 currently available for The Big Eater is well and truly over the odds.
Lismore - Race 5 3.10pm AEST
This is the weakest race that Mishani El Lobo has contested in some time and he wasn’t beaten far by the talented Tawfiq Boy at Doomben last start. The Commands gelding doesn’t need to get as far back in the run as he did last start and, if he brings his best form to the races, he will prove tough to beat.
Lismore - Race 6 3.45pm AEST
My Dream Lover will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he is still well and truly over the odds in this contest. He made his debut for the Toby Edmonds stable with a smart win at the Gold Coast and he still has the scope to improve on that performance. He does have early speed and Ryan Maloney can get him across from the wide draw.
Lismore - Race 8 5:05pm AEST
Future Event won the Murwillumbah Cup two starts ago and he was not disgraced at Doomben last start. He is a query at this distance, but he has won over 1800 metres in the past and there is no doubt that he is racing well this campaign. This is an open edition of the Lismore Cup and he appeals at his current price of $7.
