College Football Week 4 Preview

The pressure cooker was turned up a notch on two Top 10 schools last week.

Wisconsin’s loss to unranked BYU was the Sunday shocker, while Auburn stole the headlines following their last second field goal loss to LSU at home.

At least one ranked school has fallen to an unranked opponent in each of the last three weeks, which sets up another round of potential upsets looking ahead.

So who’s going down on Sunday?

Here’s a look at the biggest games in Week 4!

#22 Texas A&M vs. #1 Alabama

The Tide received an early scare against Ole Miss away from home last week before Tua Tagovailoa and Jerry Jeudy took things up a notch. The two hooked up for 136-yards and a pair of scores, but as we saw a fortnight ago against Clemson, this A&M side aren’t to be taken lightly.

The Aggies find themselves inside the Top 25 for the first time this season following their big win over LA Monroe. Running back Trayveon Williams continues to produce Heisman-like numbers, but on the road in Tuscaloosa, it’s unlikely the A&M defence can withstand the Tide’s onslaught, particularly on third down.

Tip: Back Alabama 13-18 @ $6.00

#17 TCU vs. Texas

Seemingly no one can lay a finger on fourth-ranked Ohio State right now, as TCU found out the hard way last week. The Horned Frogs struggled mightily with turnovers, in large part thanks to two interceptions from usually dependable sophomore quarterback, Shawn Robinson.

It’s worth remembering the Longhorns’ defence is nowhere near the level of the Buckeyes’, however their home win over USC last week has Texas high on confidence. If their pass rush records another three sacks and quarterback Sam Ehlinger plays another clean game, the upset chances are high.

Tip: Back Texas To Win @ $2.40

#7 Stanford vs. #20 Oregon

Stanford look like a real dark horse this year, and they’ll rest easy knowing star running back Bryce Love returns for Sunday’s game against the Ducks.

Oregon have quietly been piling on the points in the last few weeks, but they haven’t faced a ranked opponent yet. Home field advantage helps this week, although it may not mean much if the Cardinal defence shows up like it did two weeks ago against the Trojans.

Stanford recorded four sacks and a pair of picks against USC, limiting them to just three-points on the day. Look for a big game from Love after his two touchdown performance against the Ducks last year.

Tip: Back Stanford 13-18 @ $7.50

#18 Wisconsin vs. Iowa

A shock loss to BYU last week has seen the Badgers fall from all the way #6 down to #18 in the weekly rankings. Missing a game-tying field goal with less than four-minutes to go can literally make or break your season, but Wisconsin now has a chance to get back on track this week against Iowa.

The Hawkeyes are 3-0 to start the season, but are yet to face a ranked opponent. Running back Toren Young is the key if Iowa are to upset the Badgers, yet this still seems unlikely having lost to Wisconsin 14-38 last season.

Tip: Under 43.5 Total Points @ $1.91
