Detroit Lions vs New England Patriots
The Lions are licking their wounds sitting at 0-2 heading into a primetime showdown against the New England Patriots. Former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia would love to get his first win as a head coach over his former boss but there are plenty of areas that Tom Brady can pick apart in a Lions defence that is still adjusting to a new scheme. New England were pretty poor trying to cover against Jacksonville last weekend, so it would not be at all surprising to see a big game for Matthew Stafford as well. It would not be at all surprising to see this game come down to the fourth quarter and in that time, you have to trust Brady to get the job done.
Lillestrom vs Tromso
Neither team is bringing an impressive form record going into this contest with both in dire need of a win. Home side Lillestrom sit one place from the bottom with one win from their last 11 matches. Tromso have one win from their last seven and are in 10th place (out of 16) although a win here could send them up to 7th. Working in Lillestrom’s favour is the fact they have won the previous meeting between these teams this season starting with a 2-1 league win away from home and are offering good value to make it a clean sweep in the league.
Fenerbahce vs Besiktas
An excellent early season clash from Turkey featuring the two teams that contested the Turkish Cup semi final last season. In that instance it was Fenerbahce winning 5-2 on aggregate in a spiteful encounter with four red cards across the two legs. Recent history between these teams is evenly split in the league with two wins each and two draws over the last three seasons. While Fenerbahce have the head to head advantage with 46 wins from 124 meetings, this has the makings of the 40th draw between the sides.
