Daily Sports Tips – Friday 9th November
Ottawa Senators vs Vegas Golden Knights
Senators To Win @ $2.35
The Golden Knights have limped their way into the regular season, and so far, still look a little hungover from last year’s inaugural Stanley Cup appearance. Vegas have recorded the second-fewest goals to start the year, and are a miserable 2-6-0 on the road. Ottawa are no guarantee themselves, but the Sens have shown, particularly at home, that they are capable of an upset against any competition
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Carolina Panthers
Panthers To Win @ $2.50
Make sure you pay careful attention to the running game in this one. The Panthers and Steelers have been two of the better teams when it comes to stopping the ground game, but it’s no secret Carolina holds a bit of an advantage with Christian McAffrey and Cam Newton capable of turning on the jets. No knock on Steelers’ running back James Conner, but the interior line of the Panthers’ defence should hold him in check for much of this game.
New Zealand Breakers vs Cairns Taipans
Cairns at the Line (+4.5 Points)
It’s been nothing but heartache and disappointment for the Taipans to start the season. Cairns have lost five-straight, making them almost un-backable at $2.60 odds. The Breakers, meanwhile, have hardly been a moral for punters, either. When they lose, they lose hard, evident in last week’s 14-point loss to Perth. Neither side is convincing right now, but Cairns have won three of the last five match ups between the two. Take them at the line and hope for a gritty road performance.
