Houston Texans v Tennessee Titans
Having now won seven straight, a win today would set a new franchise record for the Texans against one of their biggest rivals. Houston’s 23-21 win over Washington last week highlighted just how resilient this team has become, and it helps now that wide receiver Keke Coutee is fully healthy to contribute on attack. The Texans are 5-0 in their last five games against Tennessee, and with so much versatility on offense, they should be able to stifle Tennessee’s interior defence.
Toronto Maple Leafs v Boston Bruins
The 16-8 Leafs are flying right now fresh from their 6-0 demolition over the Flyers on Sunday. Toronto are one of the top scoring sides in the competition, while today’s opponent, the 13-6 Boston Bruins, have currently allowed the fewest goals in the league. The Leafs’ puck movement has been crucial to their success, which should be enough to get them over the line for their second straight win at home today. Given Boston’s defensive prowess however, it should be a low-scoring game.
Roma vs Real Madrid
One of these teams will emerge atop the Group G table, but as the odds suggest, it’s a tough pick between two of Europe’s powerhouse clubs. This is the 12th meeting between Roma and Real Madrid, a match the Spanish giants have won seven times. You can hardly call Madrid down and out, but their shock 3-0 loss to Eibar in La Liga last week should have them hungry to return to form.
