Tennessee Titans v Jacksonville Jaguars
The 4-8 Jaguars proved a point last week by holding the Colts scoreless in a 6-0 win. It was a standout performance defensively from Jacksonville, but as you can see, there’s a lot left to be desired on the scoreboard. Quarterback Cody Kessler threw for only 150-yards, which won’t cut it against a Titans defence that’s allowed the fifth fewest passing yards. Tennessee are 5-1 in their last six games against the Jags, so this should be easy money at the line.
Cairns Taipans v Illawarra Hawks
The Taipans now find themselves in the midst of a heavy eight-game skid, and it doesn’t get any easier tonight against a very gritty Hawks team. Illawarra are fresh from an 11-point win over the 36ers last week, and someone find themselves as the underdog tonight – which is good news for punters. The Taipans are 3-4 as home favourites over the last 12-months and are yet to win in Cairns.
Western Sydney Wanderers v Central Coast Mariners
It’s been a horror to start to the year for both of these clubs. Central Coast remain winless this season at the bottom of the ladder, while the Wanderers, with just one win next to their name, have hardly played any better. Western Sydney won the last meeting between these two earlier in February and enter as the firm favourite tonight. They’ll have their work cut out form them if they are to overcome a 3-4-2 record as the home favourite, but the Mariners’ goal-scoring woes should make this a safe play.
