Brisbane Bullets v Melbourne United
This is a key game for Melbourne if they wish to hunt down Perth atop the NBL ladder. A trip to face the 5-6 Bullets in Brisbane is no easy task however, especially following the Bullets’ resounding 19-point win over the Hawks last week. As the home underdog Brisbane are 3-1 against Melbourne, so this looks like nice value for an upset today.
Sydney FC v Wellington Phoenix
It should come as no surprise to see the Phoenix at long odds against the Sky Blues today. Wellington haven’t won a game since October, while Sydney’s 2-1 win over Central Coast last week was enough to secure the third spot on the ladder for another week. As the home favourite Sydney are 12-1-4 against the Phoenix. They’ve also won four of their last five meetings.
Bournemouth v Liverpool
Liverpool travel to Dean Court this evening with plenty on the line. Manchester City’s tough away trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge means a City loss and a Liverpool win would see the Reds take control of first on the ladder. The odds tell all – Liverpool are heavy favourites – however Bournemouth’s 4-2-2 record at home makes this an interesting affair. Liverpool are 11-4-2 as the away favourites over the last 12 months though, so you have to stick with Jurgen Klopp’s side.
