Race 1 - 12:30pm
A field of first starters bar one to kick-start the nine race program at Flemington on Chester Manifold Stakes Day. Ten of the eleven two year olds will be facing the starter for the first time and the race day betting will be the best guide. James Cummings will saddle up two well-bred Exceed And Excel colts, Auxin and Microphone, and they deserve a close look. Trainer Tony McEvoy can also get a two year old ready first up and will saddle up Pretty Brazen while the Lindsay Park Team will have two debutants with Blazing Engine and Cassius.
Race 2 - 1:08pm
Bold Arial comes to Flemington on the back of a comfortable win as favourite at Echuca and gets her chance to record a city win. Leon and Troy Corstens have put the winkers on Bonito after she was beaten less than two lengths last start when fifth at The Valley in a similar race. Sweet Jazz will take plenty of improvement out of her debut win at Stony Creek and Vivi Valentina is worthy of a slot in the exotics.

Torgersen has been runner up at his last three starts and with the blinkers back on gets his chance to find the winner’s stall again. Silentz and So Si Bon are in winning form with both recording a last start win at Caulfield and Ulmann is overdue to run a good race.

Damien Oliver has stuck with last start Flemington runner up O’Tauto and we will follow his lead and put the O’Lonhro gelding on top. The Darren Weir trained Kaplumpich hasn’t been far off the mark and will be around the placings again. Racorza comes to town after breaking through for his maiden win at Cranbourne while Robe De Fete is a last start Sandown mid-week winner.

Masculino is racing in great form with a win and a second from his last two starts, is a winner over this course and distance and is one of the main chances again. Beauty Way has been hovering around the prizemoney with a win at Pakenham and a last start fourth at The Valley. Age Of Fire will wear the blinkers again and Damien Oliver will give Second Bullet every chance.

Race 6 - 3:28pm
Remember The Name gets the nod here with Damien Oliver in the saddle from the inside gate from this tricky start and the mare was a second up winner in the past as well as a winner over this course and distance. Twitchy Frank is also a winner this track and distance and heads back to Flemington a last start Caulfield winner. Flying Krupt is racing in outstanding form with wins from her last three starts and last start Flemington runner up Set To Sparkle could sneak into a place again.

Race 7 - 4:08pm
Order Of Command has the form on the board with wins at his last two starts down the Flemington straight and is the one to beat again. Damien Oliver rides again. Invincible Al has filled the minor placings at his last two starts and will be thereabouts. Expect improvement from Chauffeur with several gear changes and Stellar Collision is a roughie for the exotics.

Race 8 - 4:50pm
The Chester Manifold Stakes is shaping up to be an open betting race with several of the top chances drawing out wide. The Darren Weir trained Takedown is fitter for one run from a spell and the Group 1 winner gets his chance to break a long losing streak at good each way odds. Chamois Road can’t be left out of contention after a last start win over this course and distance. Rock ‘N’ Gold is a last start Caulfield winner and Holbien, Manolo Blahniq and Mr Money Bags will be thereabouts.

Race 9 - 5:33pm
I Am Someone heads back to Flemington on the back of a five lengths win at Bendigo and looks the one to beat. Runsati wasn’t far off the mark with a last start third at The Valley, Sir Kalahad is a last start Sale winner and Waterford Sound is chasing a hat trick after two wins at Mornington.
