Jeff Lloyd takes the ride on Icelander so that is a good lead while the first starter Bigboyroy will be ridden by Robbie Fradd. Race 2 - 1:02pm AEDT

Class 3 Plate (1000m)

Boom Chicka Boom has plenty of weight to carry but has the form on the board with a win and a second from his last two starts at the Gold Coast and should figure amongst the prizemoney again. Connoisseur has good recent mid-week form at Doomben with a win and third and has drawn a nice gate from the 1000m start. Masterati has drawn the rails and is coming off a Deagon barrier trial win and fourth emergency Helfuchi is not the worst if he can gain a start.

Race 3 - 1:37pm AEDT

Open Handicap (1200m)

Snoopy ran his best race for a very long time when second last start over 1000m and the step up 1200m will suit and give him a great chance to find the winner’s stall again. Star Reflection is chasing a hat trick of wins following victories at Randwick and the Gold Coast and has the master Jeff Lloyd to help his chances.

Race 4 - 2:12pm AEDT

BenchMark 80 Handicap (2206m)

The Kris Lees trained High Power has been placed at his last three starts and can go one better than his last start nose second over a similar distance at the Gold Coast two Saturdays ago. Miss Shanti has drawn awkwardly but also has consistent form and the Colour Of Money will have no trouble with the 2206m.

Race 5 - 2:52pm AEDT

BenchMark 70 Handicap (1600m)

She Goes Pop has drawn awkwardly but has some good gate speed so should be able to settle in a handy position from this starting point. She Goes Pop is dropping back slightly in distance but she is a winner over 1600m in the past plus Jag Guthmann-Chester’s 2kg claim will come in very handy. Takings’ country and provincial form has been good with recent wins at Warwick and Gatton and Pierre Bizel has been placed at his last two starts at the Sunshine Coast.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1200m)

Mishani Hustler has drawn the coveted number one barrier and with Baylee Nothdurft’s 3kg claim will be hard to beat. Mishani Hustler had shown plenty of ability last preparation with four wins plus a second at Group 2 level during the 2018 Brisbane Winter Carnival. Viral tried hard last start when fourth to Magic Millions 3yo Guineas winner Boomsara and Jeff Lloyd has elected to ride again.

Emphasis ran his best race for a while last start when third over 1800m at the Gold Coast and with a drop in weight and Jeff Lloyd in the saddle will get his chance to break a twelve month winning drought. Ingeegoodbe is fitter for one run back from a spell and Constantine has been around the minor placings recently.

Class 6 Plate (1200m)

My Girl Hayley showed plenty of ability during her previous campaign and will strip fitter for this assignment with a first up fifth over 1000m at Eagle Farm under her belt. Jeff Lloyd takes over the reins from Jim Byrne. Mogador was back amongst the prizemoney when second at the Gold Coast last start and can make his presence felt again and Jetsonic should get a lovely run from the inside gate.

Race 9 - 5:25pm AEDT

BenchMark 80 Handicap (1400m)

The Chris Waller trained Auerbach has drawn wide but from the good start at the 1400m, Jeff Lloyd will be able to work across and take up a handy position. Auerbach has been consistent of late with two wins and two placings from his four outings this campaign and will be hard to beat. Ecker Road is a last start Doomben winner and also has to overcome a wide draw.
