Race 1 - 6:30pm
Dominant Hygiene Systems Plate (1000m)
This is a tough race to analyse as the majority of this field will be making their racing debuts. Vivaro was not disgraced when she made her racing debut at The Valley earlier this month and she should take good improvement from that run. Dwayne Dunn should be able to settle her right on the speed and, of the horses that we have seen, she does seem to be the pick of them.

Dominant Hand Hygiene Handicap (1200m)
Dancing Tycoon was beaten as a short-priced favourite at The Valley last start, but I am willing to give her another chance in this contest. It is fair to say that it wasn’t the best ride from Jake Noonan and she maps to get a better run in transit in this contest. She should take good improvement from what was a tough run and she is well-placed to return to winning form.

Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 13 (3000m)
Makahu Boy is a horse with an excellent strike rate and he looks perfectly suited to the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge. He made it five wins from 14 starts with a classy win over 1000 metres at The Valley last start and he clearly appreciates these short-course sprints. The barrier draw is ideal and he will make his own luck right on the speed.

Dominant Australia Stayers Series (2040m)
Mosh Music has recorded three wins from five and she is still improving. She relished the step-up to 2040 metres at The Valley last start and she finished over the top of her rivals to record a classy win. That run should now have her at peak fitness and the field that she faces this Friday night really isn’t much tougher.

Dominant Laundry Systems Handicap (1600m)
All Too Huiying led from start to finish to record an impressive win at Ladbrokes Park last start and a repeat of that performance would make him very tough to beat in this contest. I expect to see him ridden aggressively by Ethan Brown once again and I like the fact that he is staying at a mile. He has now joined the Phillip Stokes stable and that is no negative – Stokes has an outstanding strike rate since moving to Melbourne full-time.

Race 6 - 9:00pm
Dominant Home Care Products Handicap (1600m)
Intueri could hardly have been more impressive last start in what was his debut at The Valley and he was able to dominate the race from the outset. This is a step-up in class, but I think he has a genuine chance of replicate that effort. The fact that Michael Poy has remained in the saddle is a positive and he is set to ride the Dream Ahead gelding aggressively once again. He will give his rivals something to catch.

Listed Torney Night Cup (2500m)
The Torney Night Cup is always an interesting betting race and this year’s edition is no exception. Fabrizio has been extremely consistent without winning this campaign and this might be the race for him. He finished in the placings in the Goulburn Cup, Gosford Gold Cup and the Australia Day Cup, so fitness will definitely not be an issue. The Valley could prove to be the perfect track for him, as he makes his own luck right on the speed, and he has the benefit of Stephen Baster in the saddle.

Dominant Star System Sprint Series (1200m)
Brilliant Choice is well-placed to make a winning return to the races. He chased home some talented horses in his first two race starts before he beat the likes of Nakeeta Jane and Adana to claim a maiden race win before he was sent to the spelling paddock. He has the early speed to cross the rest of this field from the wide barrier draw and on exposed form he does look to have a class edge over his rivals.
