Race 2 - 1:12pm AEST

Class 2 Plate (1300m)

Jeff Lloyd has stuck with last start all the way Ballina winner Viking Raid and the four year old should be able to cross to the front again from a wide barrier and be hard to run down. Daisy’s Apart is chasing a hat trick after wins at Warwick and the Gold Coast and will get a nice run from an inside barrier. Bezzina is another who has drawn a nice barrier and has been thereabouts at his recent outings and Lady Bing has to overcome a wide gate but did score an impressive last start win at Ipswich.

Class 4 Plate (2200m)

Ex-Darren Weir trained galloper Teodora is having his first run for the Tony Gollan stable and should be too strong for his opposition going on his consistent recent Melbourne form of a win and two placings from his last three starts. Miss Sara just keeps on winning and can’t be left out of the mix although she up slightly in the weights on her last start win at Doomben over Perfect Witness. She’s Reliable is up in class but was very impressive winning over 2200m at Ipswich.
