Class 3 Plate (1615m)

Husson’s Pride was a last start winner over this course and distance and has strong each way claims again at handy odds. Bernie’s Star heads back to town following a win over 1640m at Toowoomba, Reiby The Red has consistent form with placings at her last two outings and Drumadoir has two wins from her last two starts.

BenchMark 90 Handicap (2200m)

Trainer Chris Waller has three runners, Vaucluse Bay, Follow Suit and Estikhraaj and none of them can be dismissed. Follow Suit and Vaucluse Bay finished first and second over this course and distance last time out with Estikhraaj back in sixth spot and it will be hard to split the stablemates. The Kris Lees trained Zip A Dee Doo Dah was third in the same race and will be in the mix again.

2yo C&G Plate (1200m)

The Tony Gollan trained Ready To Roam will be better for a first up second over 1000m at Eagle Farm and gets his chance to record his first win. Magic Beans is dropping back a 100m after winning over 1300m at Eagle Farm and can figure in the finish again. Xanthus has the experience of a first up second at Doomben and The Odyssey will find this a lot easier than his twelfth in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic over 1200m at the Gold Coast.

Race 4 - 2:12pm AEST

2yo Fillies Plate (1200m)

Raay Of Dreams is back against the fillies after finishing second over 1300m at Eagle Farm and gets her chance to go one better here. Niedorp is resuming from a spell and showed that she was ready to perform with two winning recent barrier trials under her belt. Perudo comes to town after a debut four lengths Maiden win in Toowoomba and Secondofmay is a Gold Coast winner.

3 Units Raay Of Dreams

Race 5 - 2:52pm AEST

3yo Plate (1200m)

Defence Missile is a two times winner over this course and distance and hasn’t been far off the mark of late and gets his chance for a breakthrough win from the inside gate with Jeff Lloyd in the saddle. Mishani Hustler was back in the winner’s circle last start over 1050m beating Snicki Minaj and will be thereabouts again. Trail Of Glory was a first up winner at big odds and has claims again.

Race 6 - 3:32pm AEST

Tattersall’s Members’ Cup (1615m)

Xebec is fitter for one run back from a spell and looks well placed over the mile in this company. Emphasis is racing in top form with two wins and a placing from his last three starts and can figure in the finish again after beating El Campeador last start. Sword Of Justice is stepping up to the 1615m after a win over 1350m at Doomben and will get a nice run from the inside gate.

Race 7 - 4:12pm AEST

BenchMark 75 Handicap (1110m)

Linlithgow has plenty in her favour, a good fresh record, an inside gate and Jeff Lloyd in the saddle, and will be hard to beat first up. Pork And Beans is in line for a hat trick with wins at the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast and will get all the favours from the inside barrier. Limerick Moon and Tabbing have each way chances at double figure odds.

Race 8 - 4:47pm AEST

Tattersall’s Club Open Handicap (1200m)

Mr Marbellouz has been out of the winner’s stall for almost twelve months but showed that he was back on track with a last start second over 1110m at Doomben. The five year old is a two times winner over this course and distance and will get the run of the race from inside gate. Plucky Girl is resuming and is a first up winner in the past, Tawfiq Boy is a winner over this course and distance and Snoopy always has claims in this company.

Race 9 - 5:27pm AEST

NMW Handicap (1350m)

Langhro has been placed at his last three starts at Caulfield, Flemington and Doomben and gets his chance to find the winner’s stall again. Constant Flight is stepping up to Saturday class following his mid-week win over this course and distance and will get a nice run from barrier two. Von Richter and Madluce Missile are both last start winners and are both at nice each way odds.
