It has been a while between race starts for Despatch, but on his best form he does have a clear class edge over the rest of this field. He won the Redelva Stakes during the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival last year and a repeat of that sort of effort would make him far too strong for this field. He is unbeaten first-up and his two recent barrier trials suggest that he is fairly forward for his return to the races.

No. 6 Movie Role
The Adelaide Magic Millions Classic is a genuine drop in class for Movie Role and she is great value to return to winning form. She wasn’t disgraced in either the Magic Millions Classic or the Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude before she finished in the placings in the Cinderella Stakes. That sort of form will have her right in this contest and she is well and truly over the odds at $6.
Morphettville - Race 7 4.45pm AEDT
No. 2 Fabrizio
Fabrizio is an outstanding each-way bet in the Adelaide Cup. This is his first chance at 24000 metres, but there is no fitter horse in the field following his placings in the Gosford Gold Cup, Australia Day Cup, Torney Night Cup and the Launceston Cup. He makes his own luck right on the speed and, although he doesn’t win out of turn, he never runs a bad race.

No. 3 Stellar Collision
Stellar Collision wasn’t suited by the 1000 metres in the Hoysted Handicap at Flemington last start and he is much better suited in the Matrice Stakes. He is not the most consistent horse in the world, but on his best form he does have an edge over the rest of this field and he is definitely worth a gamble at $6.
