The Valley - Race 5 8.30pm AEDT

No. 10 Divanation

Divanation is only lightly-raced and she has not been seen at the races for nine months, but the daughter of Makybe Diva has some serious ability. I like the fact that Tony McEvoy has set her for a race over a mile first-up and if she produces anything like the form she showed in her first four race starts, she will prove tough to beat.

The Valley - Race 6 9:00pm AEDT

No. 3 Kemono

Kemono may never have a better chance to record a maiden race win in Australia. He wasn’t suited by the 1000 metres of the Bob Hoysted Handicap last start and he will take good benefit from that run. 1200 metres is ideal for him and he will be storming home in the concluding stages of this contest.

The Valley - Race 7 9.30pm AEDT

No. 3 Global Exchange

Global Exchange could hardly have been more impressive in the Autumn Classic at Caulfield last start and he is a horse with a huge amount of upside. The step-up to 2040 metres for the Alister Clark Stakes is ideal and the wide barrier draw is an advantage. He can win this race and go into the Australian Derby as a genuine winning chance.

The Valley - Race 8 10:00pm AEDT

No. 9 Clean Acheeva

Clean Acheeva is a horse with a poor winning record, but she does find herself in a very weak race at The Valley tonight. Her last start effort at The Valley was not as bad as it looks on paper and this is a weaker assignment. She maps to get a lovely run in transit and she represents a great each-way bet at her current price.
