Gold Coast - Race 7 4.22pm AEDT

No. 2 The Odyssey

The Odyseey has recorded three wins from his six race starts and he returned to the races with a dominant victory in The Emerald Jewel Prelude at Doomben last start. He has form around the likes of Sun City, Krameric, Exhilarates and Dubious and on his best form he does have a clear class edge over the rest of this field. Barrier one is ideal and he makes his own luck right on the speed. There is no doubt that he is the horse to beat.

Gold Coast - Race 8 5:02pm AEDT

No. 1 Mishani Hustler

Mishani Hustler has recorded two wins on the trot and there is no reason that he can’t continue his winning ways in the 3YO Jewel. He ran very impressive closing sectionals to win at Doomben a couple of starts ago before he led from start to finish in the Ruby Jewel Prelude last start. The wide barrier draw means that Taylor Marshall will be able to ride him aggressively in the closing stages and he can make it three wins on the trot.

Rosehill Gardens - Race 7 4.50pm AEDT

No. 17 Jamaican Rain

Jamaican Rain returned to the races with an excellent win in the Mannerism Stakes and she has now recorded four wins from her past five starts. Her second-up record is just as strong as her first-up record and the wet weather in Sydney is ideal for her. She has recorded five wins from six starts on rain-affected going and with even luck in running she will prove tough to beat.

Flemington - Race 8 5:10pm AEDT

No. 11 Alizee

Alizee has had an ideal preparation for the All-Star Mile and she is ready to peak in her Grand Final this Saturday. The form coming out of the Expressway Stakes has been extremely strong and she showed her toughness with her victory in the Futurity Stakes. With even luck in running, she will be very tough to beat.
