Race 1 - 11:15am AEST

BenchMark 75 Handicap (1600m)

Our Mantra just missed a place when tested in Saturday class over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start and will handle the step up in distance. Dansez hasn’t been far off the mark of late and can figure in the prizemoney again. Kemsrey is stepping up to Saturday class and Mymming can do better than her last start unplaced effort.

Race 2 - 11:50am AEST

BenchMark 75 Handicap (2000m)

Guise is undefeated from three starts, rising up through the ranks quickly and is facing a big test here coming to Saturday class after winning over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast. Tunero was well beaten at the Gold Coast last start on a heavy tack but is worth another chance. The Candy Man and Gold Ambition finished first and second over 1800m at the Gold Coast but they have drawn the two outside barriers which won’t held their chances.

Race 3 - 12:25pm AEST

Bill Carter Stakes (1200m)

Niedorp showed plenty of ability during the Autumn and has good gate speed to overcome the awkward barrier. Perudo also had handy form at the beginning of the year and natural improvement will see her figure in the finish. Take Tea can improve on her last start third at the Gold Coast and Miss Cavallo is the winner of two of her three race starts and looks suited here.

Quilista beat Sexy Eyes home in the Silk Stocking and they will have a good battle again. Test The World can do better that her last start seventh at the Gold Coast and River Racer is chasing back to back Doomben 1200m wins.

Chief De Beers (1110m)

Mr Marbellouz was back in the winner’s stall last start and will be one of the main chances again. Whypeeo was sent out as the favourite at the Gold Coast over 900m but was never in the hunt but is a winner over this course and distance. Isaurian carries the Godolphin royal blue colours and has to be considered and Meet Mr Taylor always runs an honest race but has drawn an awkward barrier.

Chapter And Verse was very impressive in winning first up and will be very hard to beat here with a repeat performance. Race 8 - 3:40pm AEST

Doomben Cup (2000m)

Life Less Ordinary finally broke through for an overdue win in the Group 2 A.D. Hollindale Stakes over 1800m at the Gold Coast and is now one of the top chances in the Doomben Cup. Archedemus is stepping up sharply in class but will give a lot of cheek for a long time and is not the worse. The Chris Waller trained stablemates Shillelagh and Youngstar also have to be thrown into the mix.

Race 9 - 4:20pm AEST

The Roses (2000m)

On The White Turf is on the way up through the ranks and has James McDonald in the saddle to guide her around Doomben in The Roses. Scarlet Dream has had a little freshen up since her second in the Australian Oaks over 2400m at Randwick and looks one of the class fillies. Winning Ways is the winner of her last three starts but has to overcome a wide barrier and the Kiwi filly Pinmedown could be the surprise packet.
