Daybreak Lover (1200m)

Plague Stone has had two wins and a second at three runs during the 2019 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival is the short priced favourite back to his own age in the Daybreak Lover to add another win to his impressive record. Cyber Attack is having his first run on Australian soil and it will pay to watch the race day betting moves. Jami Lady has been racing consistently with three placings from her last three starts and Hostwin Supreme is working his way up through the grades with wins at his last two starts.

Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m)

Invincibella has run some nice races in tough company and with the blinkers on for the first time in the Dane Ripper Stakes, she is certain to show plenty of improvement on her last start sixth at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago. Outback Barbie will be better suited against the Fillies and Mares following her seventh in the weight for age Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup. USA import Con Te Partiro was the winner of her only Australian start in the Dark Jewel Classic at Scone and Noire has been around the minor prizemoney recently.

Race 3 - 12:20pm AEST

The Wayne Wilson (1600m)

Order Again scored a last start win in the Group 3 Lord Mayor’s Cup over the same course and distance as The Wayne Wilson and will be hard to beat again. Duca Valentinois hasn’t been far off the pace and can figure in the prizemoney. Redouble found his best form with a last start win at Doomben last Saturday and Salsonic is on the improve.

Race 4 - 12:55pm AEST

Hinkler Handicap (1200m)

Country champ Noble Boy looked very impressive winning a BenchMark 90 Handicap over this course and distance and a nice drop in the weights gives him a great chance to score back to back Eagle Farm wins. Deprive continued on his winning way with a first up win over 1100m at Randwick and always runs an honest race. Quilista has a win and two seconds from her three Queensland Winter Carnival appearances and is certain to race well for her new trainers and Victorem had plenty of support when unplaced in the Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup and will find this a lot easier.

Race 5 - 1:35pm AEST

Queensland Guineas (1600m)

Ringerdingding will find this a lot easier back to three year old company following his eleventh in the eight for age Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup against the older horses. Kolding looks above average with wins from his last three starts in Sydney and will be in the mix again. Seabrook has claims if she can find her Group 1 winning form and Crafty Spirit can fly the flag for the locals.

J.J. Atkins Plate (1600m)

Strasbourg proved too strong for Accession when they ran the quinella in the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes over 1400m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and they look likely to fight out the finish again in the Group 1 for the two year olds. Garibaldi set the pace in the Sires’ Produce Stakes and held on for third just ahead of Czarson.

Queensland Derby (2400m)

Re Edit ran a bottler of a race against the older horses last week at Doomben when third in the weight for age Group 2 P.J. O’Shea Stakes over 2200m and a repeat of that effort will see her very competitive against the colts and geldings in the Queensland Derby. Mr Quickie never runs a bad race and is coming off a last start third in the Group 1 South Australian Derby (2500m) and will be in the mix again. Scarlet Dream is another handy filly taking on the boys and Fun Fact put himself into the picture with an all the way win in the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes (2200m) at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.

Stradbroke Handicap (1400m)

Trekking will meet The Bostonian on 3kg better terms after being beaten less than a length when third behind the Kiwi sprinter in the Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup over 1300m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago and the pair are set to clash again. Mr consistency Tom Melbourne and the three year old Encryption will both appreciate a huge drop in weight back to handicap conditions of the Stradbroke.

Brisbane Cup (2400m)

The Candy Man is the winner of his last seven starts and has a great chance to make it eight in a row in the Group 2 Brisbane Cup. Sixties Groove is racing well without winning and has three placings from his last three starts, including a third in the Group 1 Doomben Cup two runs back. Haripour has been amongst the minor prizemoney lately and Grey Lion is a winner over the 2400m.
