Gosford - Race 1 12:10pm AEST
Warfare will start this race as a clear favourite, but he has had every chance in his two race starts to date and I am willing to take him on at his current price. Blazing found the line nicely on debut at Gosford and the step-up to 1200 metres will suit him. He will benefit from his debut effort and will be tough to beat.
Gosford - Race 6 3:15pm AEST
Natalia is a filly with a strong first-up record and she has trialed nicely ahead of her return to the races. The best performances of her career have come in short course sprint contests and I like the fact that Team Snowden are resuming her over 1000 metres. The $5.50 currently available is over the odds.
Ballarat - Race 2 1:30pm AEST
Maktabba showed some ability without winning in her first two race starts and she has form around subsequent Todman Stakes winner Yes Yes Yes. She trialed in very impressive fashion on the Pakenham Synthetic surface and I am surprised that she is not an odds-on favourite for this maiden this afternoon.
Ballarat - Race 5 3.00pm AEST
It has been a long time between race starts for Saddle The Sun, but there is no denying his talent. He started his racing career with three impressive wins and his two barrier trials ahead of his return to the races suggests that he is fairly forward. He does have some serious tactical speed and he will give his rivals something to catch.
