Geelong - Race 3 1:00pm AEST

No. 4 The Bald Eagle

The Bald Eagle has not recorded a win from his nine race starts, but he may never have a better chance to record a maiden win. He has generally raced in tougher company than this field and if he produces anything like his best form he should prove far too strong. He may go in the never again file if he fails to get the job done.

Geelong - Race 7 3:00pm AEST

No. 2 Supreme Harmony

Supreme Harmony ran some slick closing sectionals at Ballarat last start and was only narrowly denied three wins on the trot. There is no doubt that he is racing in career best form and if he is able to maintain that sort of form he does look to have a genuine edge over the rest of this field. He maps to get the run of the race and can return to winning form.

Geelong - Race 8 3:30pm AEST

No. 8 Shot Of Irish

Shot Of Irish is a horse with an excellent record and he has recorded three wins from as many first-up starts. He has improved each time that he has been set a new challenge and there is really no reason that he can’t have success in Victoria. The $4.80 currently available is well and truly over the odds.

Geelong - Race 10 4.30pm AEST

No. 8 Something Silver

The scratchings have really taken the quality out of this field and that leaves Something Silver as clearly the horse to beat. She definitely needed the run when she finished third at Ballarat last start and she should take good improvement from that performance. She has run well on a wet track in the past and she is well-placed to return to winning form.
