Daily Racing Tips – Friday 28th June
Geelong - Race 5 2:30pm AEST
No. 4 Cryptic Jewel
Cryptic Jewel is set to return to the races for the first time since she finished a close second behind Ambitious Gem at Ladbrokes Park in January and she finds herself in a very winnable race. This is a weaker race than what she has generally contested during her career to date and I think she might prove too classy for her rivals.
Geelong - Race 6 3:00pm AEST
No. 12 Darmasun
Darmasun returned to the races with a narrow win over Fight at Moe and she should take good improvement from that performance. She definitely relished the heavy surface in that race and she strikes another wet track for this contest. She can make it two wins on the trot and is great value at $7.
Tamworth - Race 7 3:55pm AEST
No. 4 Star Boy
Star Boy returned to winning form with a classy win in the Aberdeen Cup at Muswellbrook last start and this is another ideal race for him. He has run well in city company throughout his racing career and has still recorded five wins from his 13 race starts. He is the class above the rest of this field and he can make it two wins on the trot.
Tamworth - Race 8 4.35pm AEST
No. 1 Atum
Atum does not have a great overall record, but this might be a nice race for him. His past two starts at Wellington have been excellent and this race at Tamworth is not particularly strong. The big weight is the obvious concern, but he has carried weight well in the past. He is over the odds at his current price.
