Race 1 - 11:55am
St Johns Park Bowling Club Handicap (1400m)
Lucicello is a filly with plenty of promise and she can continue on her winning ways at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. The I Am Invincible filly ran some of the quickest closing sectionals of the day at Rosehill Gardens last start and the scary thing for her rivals is that she still has the scope to improve. Tommy Berry will be able to give her a lovely run in transit from barrier two and she will be tough to hold out late.

Race 2 - 12:30pm
Campbelltown Catholic Club Handicap (1200m)
Haut Brion Her will go into this race as an odds-on favourite and she is the horse to beat, but it is tough to get her as short as her current odds. The galloper that stands out from a value perspective is Taniko. She ran the fastest closing sectionals of the entire meeting when she finished third at Rosehill Gardens last start and the step-up to 1200 metres look ideal for her at this stage of her preparation. Tommy Berry can settle her closer to the speed and she should be in the finish.

Race 3 - 1:05pm
Highway Handicap (1800m)
Onemore Sapphire ran the quickest closing 200 metres of the race in the Highway Handicap and the step-up to 1800 metres looks as though it will suit him. Chris O’Brien will have no choice but to settle him towards the tail of the field in the early stages of this race, but he does have a sharp turn-of-foot and he can finish over the top of his rivals late.

Race 4 - 1:40pm
Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m)
There is no doubt that Alizee is the horse to beat in the Missile Stakes. She showed that she has returned from the spelling paddock in brilliant order with her outstanding barrier trial win and if she brings that form to the races she will be far too sharp for her rivals. The Expressway Stakes is the Autumn version of this race and she beat a stronger field than this one to win it in slashing fashion. It really is personal choice whether you want to dive in at the current price of $1.50, but that price still does represent value.

Race 5 - 2:15pm
Listed The Rosebud (1100m)
Athiri gets into The Rosebud very well in at the weights and I think that she is outstanding value at her current price. She only recorded the one race win as a juvenile, but she wasn’t beaten far in races like the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes, Magic Night Stakes and Kindergarten Stakes. I really liked her recent barrier trial at Royal Randwick and that run suggests that she is fairly forward for her return to the races. She gives the impression that she will be a better horse as a three-year-old and she can stamp herself as a genuine Golden Rose contender.

Race 6 - 2:55pm
Dooleys Handicap (1400m)
There are plenty of winning chances in this contest and it is one of the toughest betting races of the day. Sweet Deal has been thereabouts without winning this campaign and she is a deserving favourite, but her overall record does make it tough to get her as short as her current quote.
Race 7 - 3:35pm
Bankstown Sports Club Handicap (2000m)
Ulusaba was gallant in defeat at Royal Randwick last weekend and he should take good improvement from that tough effort. The step-up to 2000 metres is ideal and there is no fitter horse in this field. The wide barrier draw shouldn’t be a problem as he has the early speed to cross the field and take up the running. Tim Clark is a great judge of pace and he will ensure that the Exceed And Excel gelding is tough to catch.

Race 8 - 4:15pm
Cabra Bowls Handicap (1200m)
Haut Brion Her has always been included in the nominations for this contest and if she does run in this race she will be tough to beat. Despite taking up the running last start, she still had plenty left in the tank late and she still has plenty of upside to improve. Jason Collett will be able to settle her right on the speed and there is no reason that she can’t continue her winning ways.

Race 9 - 4:55pm
Doltone House Marconi Handicap (1500m)
Richard Freedman has made an excellent start to the new racing season and he should be able to score another winner with Cinquedea. He recorded dominant wins at both Goulburn and Newcastle before he finished second behind Phaistos at Rosehill Gardens last start. There is no horse the quality of Phaistos in this field and the fact that Freedman has given the Rios gelding a freshen-up is a positive.
