Daily Racing Tips – Friday 9th August
Ballarat - Race 2 1:30pm AEST
No. 9 Odaline
Odaline was well-backed before she made her racing debut at Warrnambool in February and she was not disgraced in second. There is clearly some ability there and she showed excellent early speed. Linda Meech will be able to take her straight to the front in the early stages and she will be tough to run down.
Ballarat - Race 7 4:00pm AEST
No. 1 Balarente Lad
Balarente Lad did not handle the wet track at all at Echuca last start and I am happy to put the pen through that performance. Before that, he recorded two wins over this exact track and distance and he is unbeaten on the Synthetic racing surface. A return to that sort of form would make him tough to beat and he is great value at $7.
Ballarat - Race 8 4:30pm AEST
No. 9 Manasari
Manasari has had two starts on Synthetic tracks for two impressive wins and on her best form she does have a clear class edge over the rest of this field. Her best form has come over 1000 metres, but her last start win at Pakenham suggests that the step-up to 1100 metres will not be a problem.
Tamworth - Race 6 3:40pm AEST
No. 1 Larynx
Larynx has been racing well without winning this campaign and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form in this contest. He didn’t have a great deal of luck in running at Cessnock last start and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Greg Ryan in the saddle. He may never have a better chance to return to winning form.
