Ladbrokes Park - Race 1 1:00pm AEST
Lady Loire won by six lengths on debut at Wagga and she wasn’t disgraced when she finished third behind Star Surprise and Can’t Be Done at Caulfield last start. This is a genuine drop in quality and she should now be at peak fitness. Barrier four is ideal and she will have every possible chance with Luke Nolen in the saddle.
Ladbrokes Park - Race 7 4:30pm AEST
Nudge Bar made it two wins on the trot with an impressive win at Morphettville last start and he still has the scope to improve on that performance. He has drawn a slightly awkward barrier, but he does have early speed and he should be able to cross the field to take up a forward position. The $6.50 currently available is well and truly over the odds.
Ladbrokes Park - Race 8 5:05pm AEST
The scratchings have taken plenty of the quality out of this contest and that leaves Bettyrae Ruby as clearly the horse to beat. Her last start win was excellent and a repeat of that effort would make her very tough to beat.
Warwick Farm - Race 2 2:00pm AEST
Achondrite had no luck in running last start at Warwick Farm, but was still able to savage the line when she ran clear running late. She does have the ability to settle closer to the speed and I think that she will do that from barrier run. With even luck in running, she will prove tough to hold out in the concluding stages.
