Some may say that this is the Wallabies best chance of claiming the Bledisloe Cup for the first time in almost 20 years.

Others say that the All Blacks have no option but to bounce back and put up 50 on the Wallabies this weekend.

You can be forgiven for thinking it’s more probably than not going to be the latter of those two scenarios because even though the All Blacks haven’t looked like themselves this year, they are more than capable of flipping the switch at any given time.

We have looked through the market and found our Bledisloe Cup betting play for this weekend here.

New Zealand vs Australia
Saturday 18 July, 5:35pm, Eden Park

We may as well enjoy it while it lasts because let’s be honest, by 7:30 Saturday evening we will probably be watching Kieran Read hoisting the Bledisloe Cup with a smug grin on his face.

Spinning the litany of team changes as the All Blacks panicking could very well be as good as it gets for the Wallabies this week.

That being said, this is still the All Blacks we are talking about and there have been way too many times where the chips were down and they just decided to beat their opponent soundly, usually Australia.

Omitting Ben Smith is one of those decisions that should backfire on any other rugby team but it will probably wind up looking like a masterstroke from Steve Hansen.

Not to mention the new fullback Beauden Barrett is a more than capable replacement and someone capable of turning the game on his own, plus he can serve as an extra playmaker if Richie Mo’unga can’t quite take over the game.

As tempting as it is to back the Wallabies to secure another upset win, it’s hard to see them pulling off as strong of a performance again.
