Devonport - Race 1 12:15pm AEST

No. 3 Lesnar

Lesnar hasn’t produced a poor performance during his racing career to date and he is well-placed to make a winning return to the races this afternoon. His two race wins have come over this distance and he also has an excellent first-up record. This is a decent race, but I think that he has more upside than his rivals.

Devonport - Race 2 12:50pm AEST

No. 7 Mystical Pursuit

Mystical Pursuit failed to fire first-up at The Valley and this is a genuine drop in quality. She showed her class when she won the Elwick Stakes and the Sovereign Stakes as a two-year-old. There is no doubt that she is one of the most promising horses in Tasmania and I expect her to make a winning return to the races.

Devonport - Race 6 3:30pm AEST

No. 2 Century Arrow

Century Arrow has recorded two wins on the trot and there is no reason that he can’t continue his winning ways. He is unbeaten over this course and distance and his overall record at Devonport is nothing short of outstanding. Barrier seven is no issue and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Devonport - Race 7 4:15pm AEST

No. 6 Orange Roughie

Orange Roughie has developed a reputation as a non-winner, but I am giving him another opportunity to claim a maiden race win. He has finished in the placings in four of his five race starts over this track and distance and he didn’t have a great deal of luck in running at his last start. He will go to the front and prove tough to run down.
