Class 3 Plate (1825m)

Miss Shanti is facing a huge drop in class and gets her chance for an overdue win in the Class 3 Plate. The Chris Waller trained mare has been a model of consistency with four placings and a fourth from her last five starts and looks the one to beat. Picaro has a win and a second placings from his last three starts and looks well placed here. Speaking Bad is stepping up in distance after a second over 1666m at Ipswich and Shinnecock was a close up fourth over 1500m at Kilcoy.

Race 2 - 12:23pm

BenchMark 78 Handicap (1600m)

Trevelyan has a win and a second over this course and distance at his last two starts and gets his chance to be in the mix again. Alaskan Sun has solid Gold Coast form with two wins and a second from her last three starts and has won over 1600m in the past. Char Char is a last start Doomben mid-week winner over 1660m and Reckless Choice hasn’t been far off the mark at two runs back from a spell.

F&M 0MW Handicap (1200m)

Clockwise performed well when she came to town last start for a second over this course and distance and gets her chance to go one better on Saturday with promising apprentice Nick Keal in the saddle. Sydneysider Moccasin Miss can cross from a wide barrier, Helfuchi has been placed at her last three starts and Tycoon Street will have the blinkers on for the first time.

Race 4 - 1:33pm

Open Handicap (1200m)

Snoopy is a winner over this course and distance and found some good form last start when a narrow second over 1200m at Doomben. Scallopini had winning form before a spell and has won first up in the past. The Candy Man is also resuming and will be running on and Tawfiq Boy is ready to show plenty of improvement with two runs under his belt.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1400m)

Epicurious is yet to breakthrough for her maiden win but has a great each way chance at good odds with the blinkers on for the first time after a last start third in three year old company at the Gold Coast. Don’t Waiver is up in weight after a last start win over 1600m at Eagle Farm in similar grade. Lady Appleton gets her chance in the city after wins at Ipswich and the Gold Coast and Grand Zou is coming off an impressive Sunshine Coast maiden win.

Race 6 - 2:43pm

BenchMark 70 Handicap (1400m)

Sienna Rose scored an overdue win last start over this course and distance and will be one of the main chances again. Dreamtimer was narrowly beaten when runner up as favourite last start and gets his chance to make amends. Ella Divine has been placed at her last two runs at the Sunshine Coast and Elixir comes back to town after a win at Murwillumbah.

Class 6 Handicap (1000m)

Lifesaver was a Randwick winner before a break, has good first up form and will get a nice run from an inside gate. Memes is having her first run for her new stable and won a recent Beaudesert barrier trial. Capital Connection is fitter for one run back from a spell and Cool Sequence won a recent Doomben barrier trial in preparation for his return to the racetrack.

Race 8 - 4:02pm

Open Handicap (1600m)

Impasse is fitter for one run back from a spell for a second over 1350m at Doomben and has a nice light weight to contend with. Magnufighter has been mister consistency with three placings and a win from his last four starts and can figure amongst the prizemoney again. La Chica Bella was a 1600m Randwick winner two starts back and Outraged was back in the winner’s stall at the Gold Coast in metropolitan company.

C,G & E 0MW Handicap (1200m)

Park Chinois trialled at Deagon in preparation for his return to the racetrack and has won first up in the past. Exdream had consistent form at Ipswich and the Sunshine Coast and heads to Eagle Farm for the first time on the back of an Ipswich win. Mail Escort is closing in on a win with seconds at his last three starts and Constant Flight steps back up to the Saturday circuit after a mid-week win at Doomben.
